As a Process Engineer \u2013 Level 2/3 located in Promontory, UT, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. \n\nThe Process Engineer is responsible for establishment and execution of all technical aspects of Process Development to perform energic processes on rocket motors and munitions. The Process Engineer will perform and administer all aspects associated with execution, coordination and development of current and future projects involving the creation and crafting energetic material. Provide technical expertise on development of energetic production techniques, cost estimation, and process design and automation. You will also be expected to obtain a working knowledge of Fanuc robot capabilities and operation and automation. \n\nThis position will work a 4/10 schedule, a minimum of 3 days on site, with every Friday off.\n\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Primarily working with energetic materials.\n\n * Develop processes to craft energetic materials using robotic technologies.\n\n * Provide support for the aging and surveillance of rocket motors and munitions.\n\n * Administer and coordinate with multiple departments for successful process development.\n\n * Presentation of data and recommendations to internal and external customers.\n\n * Ability to Travel expectation of 5% \u2013 10%\n\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nWhy you? You\u2019re the candidate we\u2019re searching for if you are ready to achieve the impossible alongside like-minded innovators. \n\nThis position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of professional experience \u2013 OR \u2013 Master\u2019s degree with 0 years of professional experience. \n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance\n\n * Experience working with energetic materials related to rocket motors or warhead production. \n\n * Ability to communicate technically complex topics and scenarios clearly and concisely.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering with 5 years of professional experience \u2013 OR \u2013 Master\u2019s degree with 3 years of professional experience \u2013 OR \u2013 PhD with 1 year of professional experience. \n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance\n\n * Experience working with energetic materials related to rocket motors or warhead production. \n\n * Ability to communicate technically complex topics and scenarios clearly and concisely.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Proven ability to own a project and strive to follow this project from conception through process establishment.\n\n * Knowledge of the ESI and EPLM systems.\n\n * Understanding of ORI\u2019s, PFMEA, and the POR process.\n\n * Familiarity with NX or Solid Works modeling software.\n\n * Experience working with Fanuc robots\n\n * Ability to coordinate between various engineering disciplines.\n\n * Strong understanding of solid rocket motor system design, development, and manufacture\n\n * Demonstrated experience with problem solving, problem investigation teams, and critical decision-making skills\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations\n\n * Demonstrated team leadership skills - leader of significant technical projects or investigations and management of multiple program tasks to schedule and budget\n\n * Experience with the proposal process\n\n * Creative interest in developing new methods and technologies to improve processes.\n\n * Challenge the status quo to develop new ways of doing things that are cutting edge.\n\n\n\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Total Rewards\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
