As a Process Engineer in our rolling mill operations, you will play a critical role in improving product quality, optimizing processes, and driving operational efficiency in a highly technical manufacturing environment. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams while making a measurable impact on performance and innovation.
Your Role at a Glance
Provide day-to-day technical support to resolve process and quality issues
Monitor and optimize process variables to improve consistency and reduce variation
Lead and support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions
Train and coach operators while capturing critical process knowledge
Support plant trials, new process development, and implementation of new technologies
Collaborate with R&D, Industrialization, and global process teams
Contribute technical expertise to capital projects and equipment upgrades
Audit processes to ensure adherence to standards and sustain improvements
Participate in benchmarking and technology evaluations
Support troubleshooting during operational events, including occasional off-hour support
What Sets You Apart
We’re looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Science, or related field) required
1–5 years of experience in manufacturing, steel, or heavy industry preferred
Exposure to hot rolling, pipe manufacturing, or metal forming processes is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Understanding of manufacturing processes and process control principles
Knowledge of metallurgy, thermal processes, or deformation processes preferred
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with data analysis tools and process monitoring systems preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and results orientation
Strong shop-floor engagement and ability to build trust with operations teams
