Position Snapshot
As a Process Engineer at Atwell, you will work on major Oil & Gas / Energy projects. Experience required with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) development as well as experience generating fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing and formulation of process data for in-line instruments and loads for rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors. You will work for a nimble team with the backing of a larger consulting company with a broad range of services over multiple markets.
Requirements
- 7+ years of oil and gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background is required
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration a plus
- Process Simulation Development using ProMax
- PFD, P&ID, H&MB Development
- Relief Valve Sizing & Contingency Analysis
- Atmospheric Tanks Venting and Emissions Calculations
- Equipment Design, Specification, & Sizing
- Hydraulic Calculations & Studies
- Control Valve Sizing
- HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, & Risk Analysis
Day to Day
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as the lead process engineer and/or senior technical advisor for multiple projects
- Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Oversee and participate in the preparation of engineering reports, engineering drawings and specifications for complex oil & gas projects such as PFD's, P&ID's, process simulations, datasheets, and engineering calculations including hydraulics and equipment sizing
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and with clients, vendors, and contractors
- Participate in the preparation of proposals for engineering services
- Perform feasibility/economic studies, conceptual designs, front-end design (FEL), optimization/de-bottle-necking studies

Pay Range
$120,000—$160,000 USD
