JOB DESCRIPTION
NOV is actively recruiting ambitious university graduates for a
Process Engineer
role that will focus on the Continuous Improvement of processes, procedures, and technology within Aftermarket operations. It will be part of our
Pathway Rotational Program
in the
Rig Technologies
business grouplocated in Houston, TX.
The NOV
Pathway Rotational Program
offers recent college graduates the opportunity to obtain meaningful work experiences through a structured 2-to-3-year rotational program. The program is designed to help participants develop strong functional/technical expertise and business knowledge through challenging, hands-on assignments and exposure to various groups across NOV. Towards the end of the program, participants will work with their management support team to identify full-time positions that best suit individual skill sets as well as company needs.
Participants remain on one career track based on education and career interest. Each career track has its own training and experience-based learning objectives, and knowledge and performance are evaluated following each rotation.
The start date for this program will be June 2024, but sooner start dates are available.
Following the
Operations
career track, the rotations will take place within the following departments:
Repair Process and Product Improvement
Process engineering with a focus on continuous improvement across several functions of the repair operations and production group
Supply Chain Management
Process engineering with a focus on refining the forecasting, demand/supply planning, and overall supply chain management process within Aftermarket operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluate the technical operations and business processes to identify any gaps or opportunities to improve efficiencies, align with Quality requirements, and uphold Engineering standards. Study and map existing supply chain processes, identify gaps, and provide solution recommendations to increase profitability. Perform benchmarking to determine the need for aligning, revising, or creating new process documents while incorporating best practices. Support in developing and improving tools and processes to streamline materials flow throughout the entire supply chain. Participate in Continuous Improvement projects. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Education and Experience Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant field Recent graduate or will be graduating
May 2024 Technical Competencies
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, VBA, Visio, Minitab, and Power BI Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or other similar improvement methodologies (certificates are a plus) Strong mathematical & analytical skills Solid understanding of project cost calculations/accounting Behavioral Competencies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts clearly Able to work independently with the ability to multitask on multiple projects Strong attention to detail and highly motivated Candidates that meet the above qualifications are invited to attend a virtual Information Session to learn more about the program to ensure it's a fit for you prior to continuing the selection process.
