Processing Tech/Driver

Summary of the Role:  The Processing Technician is responsible for producing cannabis products with efficiency, precision, and adherence to company manufacturing standards and industry compliance regulations. This role is critical in the seed-to-sale lifecycle, acting as the bridge between cultivation and retail. Processing Technicians play a key role in ensuring only the highest quality finished products are prepared and delivered.

As a Driver, you will support the logistics and wholesale operations by safely and securely delivering products to various locations throughout the state. This position requires strong attention to detail and excellent customer service to maintain and strengthen partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Has basic knowledge about cannabis
• Assist with pre-processing, post-processing, and packaging functions while maintaining detailed laboratory records
• Follow lab safety plan/manual and SDS manual
• Maintain laboratory equipment and utensils in sanitary, safe, and organized manner
• Maintain and update chemical and other ingredient inventories
• Ensure that the laboratory operates compliantly at all times
• Cleaning and maintenance of lab and extraction equipment;
• Performing clerical work as it pertains to concentrate lab;
• Ensure the safe and secure delivery of Maitri products via company delivery vehicle to both Maitri locations and wholesale locations
• Deliver customer orders while providing excellent customer service
• Assemble  customer orders
• Support cross functional team needs
• Maintaining compliance standards for all deliveries
• Ensures safety practices are followed when operating company vehicle
• All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in any relevant trades, including horticulture, food handling, etc.
• Valid driver's license
• Must be 25 years of age or older (driving/insurance requirements)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and MVR.
• Attention to detail and a quick eye
• Ability to sit for 8 hours per day

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   

• Ability to work up to 10 hours a day and rotating shifts
• Ability to accurately perform the functions within the processing lab as directed by the Processing Operations Manager and Director of Processing.
• Ability to bend/stoop/kneel/reach up to 90% of the workday
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays   
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds   

• Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday   
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time   
• Extended computer usage 
• Comfortable being under constant video surveillance 
• Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
