Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Location: - 5310 W. Camelback Rd., Glendale, AZ

Duration: 1 Year (possibility of extension)

Position Overview:

Involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the delivery of products and services to our Business Partners, from materials/service acquisition through distribution.

  • Primary areas include procurement and contracting, materials management, logistics operations, supply intelligence, supplier management, transportation and distribution

Discipline Description:

  • A method of establishing schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.

Job Description:

  • Expedites parts to remedy shortage problems.
  • Picks up and delivers materials within and outside of company and maintains records on material flow.
  • May be responsible for ensuring incoming materials are properly routed.
  • May monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments.
  • Moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job (i.e., familiarity with terminology and standard procedures).
  • Superficial understanding of content area of function.
  • Follows defined procedures.
  • Proposes and implements solutions to routine problems with direction from supervisor. Refers atypical problems to others.
  • Close supervision.
  • Reports on activities regularly to supervisor in well-defined format.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules.
  • Gathers information and/or data independently using established and well-defined procedures. Errors can be easily and quickly detected within the immediate work unit.
  • Contributions limited to task-related activities.
  • Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit.

    Manager Must Haves:
  • Prefer experience with ERP systems, SAP or PeopleSoft are the top preferences.
  • Prefer 2+ years of experience as a buyer or planner, but not required.
  • Need candidates with strong PC and technical skills. Must demonstrate strong communication and organization skills.
