Job Description - Procurement Coordinator

Job Description

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Owner and trainer of our SpendMap system .
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including Prevailing Wages and Insurance Requirements.
- Act as MOCS/PASSPort Liaison.
- Utilize SpendMap and PassPort software to streamline procurement processes.
- Collaborate with Procurement Analysts and Contract Officers to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Support timely delivery of goods and services for various programs.
- Manage data entry and analysis within SpendMap and PassPort systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather procurement requirements and feedback.
- Assist in creating procurement documentation and reports.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance procurement knowledge and software skills.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and suppliers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet procurement objectives and special projects.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
