Procurement Manager | People Leader – High Voltage Electrical (T&D/Substations)

Seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement operations for utility-scale Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation projects. This role requires hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical components and strong leadership skills.

You’ll lead procurement and expediting teams, collaborate with engineering and estimating, and drive supplier strategies that directly impact cost, timelines, and project delivery.

Requirements: 

• 8+ years of procurement experience in T&D/Substation environments.

• 2+ years of people management in construction or infrastructure.

• Direct experience sourcing high-voltage components: switchgear, transformers, wire & cable, conduit, substation packages.

• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and expediting staff; set goals and coach performance.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-voltage electrical packages.

• Manage RFPs/RFQs, vendor negotiations, and contract awards.

• Align procurement with technical specs and engineering BOMs.

• Track material pricing and availability; mitigate supply chain risk.

• Maintain vendor relationships with electrical suppliers and fabricators.

• Monitor procurement spend vs. forecast/budget.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials; coordinate with manufacturing/logistics.

• Enforce procurement policy and compliance standards.

Preferred

• Familiarity with EPC contracts and material expediting.

• Strong vendor network in electrical infrastructure.

• Experience supporting BD and cost estimating teams.
