Procurement Manager (Indirect)

Position Overview:

As the Procurement Lead, you'll oversee procurement and inventory management to ensure material availability for plant operations. This role involves collaborating across departments to support production goals while upholding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:
Supervise subordinates to ensure efficient operations and adherence to protocols.
Conduct performance reviews, implement disciplinary processes, and facilitate career development.

Inventory Control and Procurement:
Manage inventory control processes, requisition material, and process purchase orders.
Track requisition and purchase order statuses, maintain accurate accounting, and organize parts storage.
Anticipate future needs through inventory review and regulate rental equipment usage.

Reporting and Coordination:
Generate and distribute regular reports related to spare parts, inventory, expenses, etc.
Coordinate labor services and rental equipment maintenance with plant departments.
Collaborate with partners for vendor/contractor management and accounting inquiries.

Purchasing Essential Functions:
Lead day-to-day purchasing and sourcing activities, including RFx processes.
Collaborate with Corporate Procurement and site leadership to support procurement requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in supplier metrics and execute strategic sourcing projects.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or 7 years of equivalent procurement experience.
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
3-5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Functional accounting knowledge.
Experience with asset management systems such as MP2.
