Procurement Officer - Urgent Role

LHH is seeking a Procurement Assistant for a client of ours. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate documents and forms for accuracy and completeness, recommends qualified vendors/contractors, and issues purchase orders with appropriate authorization authority.
• Reviews requisitions for accuracy/completeness and contacts departments for requisition clarification.
• Assist in sourcing and identifying potential suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of procurement activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and finalize contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Track and report on key procurement metrics, such as supplier performance and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any procurement-related issues or concerns.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve procurement processes.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
