Job Description - Procurement Sales Coordinator

The Procurement Sales Coordinator manages the procurement process, sourcing from suppliers while securing cost effective and high quality goods. They ensure that purchasing activities are profitable, well-organized, timely, and in compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate records, managing vendor communications, and facilitating smooth procurement processes.

They procure products directly from 100+ premium grower/shippers and fresh processors, to deliver the best in quality and price. With a commitment to freshness, streamlined logistics, and k-12 services, Fresh Alliance redefines the industry standard, delivering a comprehensive solution and leverages high performance contracts supported by a wide variety of clients. Fresh Alliance is an integral part of the Fresh Division as it directly works with both Fresh Concepts and Produce Alliance providing a direct sourcing and contracting resources to their end user customers.  


This position will be based out of our Salinas, CA office. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.


Your impact:



  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for the procurement team, including vendor and customer correspondence, and document management.

  • Assist in reviewing and processing purchase orders.

  • Maintain organized and accurate procurement records, ensuring all documentation is current and compliant.

  • Monitor order statuses, delivery schedules, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm shipping details and resolve delivery or invoice issues.

  • Collaborate internally with the contract and pricing team to ensure invoice accuracy.

  • Ensure adherence to internal procurement procedures and applicable regulation.


About you:



  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or procurement support role.

  • Experience with procurement software is an asset.
