About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation: 

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid! 

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

You’ll make an impact by:

You will be responsible for analyzing the assigned plant's procurement requirement, understand the budget, time schedule, draft the RFQ specs along with user department, identify potential vendors along with Commodity team, send eRFQ and provide clarifications to/from vendors. On selection of suppliers, you will set up in SAP the Purchase Info Record, Source List and Material Master.

• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and become a valued partner in the sourcing process.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Undergrad degree in Supply-Chain or 3 years Procurement experience
• Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and, deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint
• Demonstrated self-starter
• 5-10% travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge and experience in Switchgear

• The pay range for this position is $44,100 - $75,600. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
