Position Overview
As a Procurement Specialist in GardaWorld's Supply Chain team, you will play a mission-critical role supporting efficient operations by managing the acquisition of goods and services. Your responsibilities will include cultivating strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating and securing the best pricing available, maintaining a high standard for our vendor's quality control, monitor and report on inventory levels, stay informed on industry trends, and constantly analyze our procurement spend to increase company profitability. This position will collaborate with stakeholders from both internal teams and external partner suppliers, contributing to the ongoing process of improvement, and work with field operators to ensure compliance with company purchase and account payable policies and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all purchasing and procurement needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Account or Project Managers, Client Service Managers (CSM), Market Leaders, and Regional Vice Presidents (RVP), to assess and understand contractual procurement requirements.
Research and identify trends and new strategic suppliers who can meet GardaWorld’s needs and aligns with corporate values.
Build strong relationships with service partners to secure best prices on products and services.
Evaluate and negotiate purchasing contracts with existing suppliers to ensure terms and conditions are optimized to deliver value, quality and alignment with budget requirements.
Maintain product integrity by conducting regular audits to ensure materials and products align with GardaWorld’s specifications, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Track inventory levels and restock materials to maintain operational requirements and sustainability.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials and services are consistently available within timelines established by internal teams.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to company spend and provide analysis and recommendations to leadership if cost saving options are available.
Coordinate with the Corporate Training Team to develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials to support consistent utilization and effective adoption, procedures, and processes.
Focus on enhancing sustainability prioritizing our contribution positively for people and the planet.

Competence Profile

Demonstrate ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) for all sourcing and supplier engagements with recommendations to remediate unpredictable circumstances that create liability affecting financial, legal, and strategic concerns, contracts, or product utilization.
Demonstrate strong data analysis skills, interpret data, use data to evaluate and assess the viability and value of procurement relationships, contacts, and strategies, and collaborate with leadership to support the decision-making process for procurement decisions.
Demonstrate experience negotiating sourcing contracts.
Understand now to read budgets, identify cost components, and identify critical issues that affect overall company financial health.
Requirements

A Bachelor of Education Degree (BEd) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or similar related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Industry-recognized certifications, such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or from the Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) is not mandatory, but preferred.
Two to three years experience managing and optimizing purchasing and procurement processes, and supply chain solutions.
Experience in a service-related industry with a focus on procurement of information technology hardware, office supplies, equipment, mobile solutions, uniforms, fleet operations, and other security related equipment is desired.
Experience in a dynamic team environment working with employees and clients to support time-sensitive customer job or project startup requirements.
