Job Description - Procurement Specialist
Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a nonprofit in Raleigh, NC. The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary resources. This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Performs specialized technical work in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Gather information and analyze procurement requirements and bids to ensure the best value and compliance with standards.
Award purchase orders and contracts by determining sources of supply, availability, cost, inventory trends, and addressing any discrepancies or errors.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent excess inventory, shortages, or expirations, ensuring optimal inventory management
Identify and communicate supply delays to downstream colleagues and planning managers to mitigate potential production disruptions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in purchasing and contracting, preferably in a government environment
General knowledge of planning and purchasing processes, including inventory management and supplier negotiations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
