Job Summary

The Produce Clerk ensures the produce department operates at the standards set by the company, driving sales and maximizing profitability. The Produce Clerk delivers the highest level of customer service and satisfaction by following the company’s produce merchandising plan and rotating product to ensure the product is at it freshest.

Responsibilities

Uses knives and power equipment, prepares all varieties of produce according to Save A Lot policies and procedures

Prepares and places produce products in the display counter according to Save A Lot procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers

Receives, inspects, and stores produce upon delivery, to maintain the cold chain and ensures produce quality

Ensures excellent sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to Save A Lot policy

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age

Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, and box cutter

Ability to regularly lift 50lbs

Our Save A Lot began operations in 1990. We are a family owned licensee of Save A Lot and our second generation is currently operating the store. We, the owners, are in the store regularly. With your help we will continue to operate into the third generation and beyond. Come join the family.

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
