Are you passionate about fresh produce and skilled in managing teams across multiple locations? We are seeking a dedicated Produce Manager to oversee our produce departments across various locations. Join us in our mission to provide the highest quality fruits and vegetables to our customers while leading a dynamic team of produce associates.


Responsibilities:

  • Produce Department Oversight: Manage all aspects of the produce department, including inventory management, ordering, pricing, and merchandising to ensure maximum freshness and quality.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of produce associates across multiple locations. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and rotation of produce items. Conduct regular quality checks to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
  • Customer Service: Foster a customer-centric environment by providing exceptional service and addressing customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and displays to drive product sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with produce vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive prices. Negotiate contracts and terms as needed.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize costs. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have complete open availability
  • Proven experience in produce management, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including varieties, seasonal availability, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.
  • Must be bilingual English/Spanish
