Produce Supervisor - Retail Service Team

• Support inventory and merchandising goals. Maintain consistent product presentation across produce displays
• Support procedures for ordering, receiving, pricing, and stocking for the department
• Assist in training and developing Produce Department personnel; maintain team performance standards
• Uplift, encourage, mentor, and assist the Produce Lead in overseeing a dynamic team of individuals
• Ensure adherence to New Pioneers’ customer service standards
• Maintain a clear line of communication between all departments
• Work closely with the Produce Lead, Coordinator, and Purchasing Receiver on inventory standards, programs, sale cycles, and department resets

• Retail produce experience; knowledge of organic, natural, and conventional products and practices
• Supervisory experience— leading, training, evaluating, uplifting, motivating, directing, documenting
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Strong merchandising skills to create appealing product displays
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and work as a collaborative team member
• Ability to stand and for extended periods of time lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Computer literacy
• Point-of-Sale experience
• Commitment to work positively with others in a collaborative environment where teamwork and constant communication are essential

This position will require extended periods of time working with a variety of packaged and perishable products. In addition to general computer, phone, and office requirements, there will be frequent periods of time in walk in coolers and freezers as well as bending, lifting, reaching, and merchandising to create and maintain displays on the retail floor.

This position requires a committed schedule to include openings, closings, weekends, and holiday shifts on a regular basis.

This is a full-time position with a benefits package.

Starting Wage: $16 - Negotiable based upon experience.
