Producer/ Operator

About ADDFORCE LLC We are committed to helping individuals find and excel in their ideal job. Description:  Assemble parts to form complete units or subassemblies. The producer/operator position works one of 55 lines in the plant. Each line produces canisters, air intakes, and rocker covers for various automobiles. The lines consist of 4-6 employees who bump into each assembly task and/or rotate into each assembly task following each break. Each operator must be able to work any line in the plant, with weekly assignments based on production demands and orders. The employees work an 8 hour day  with overtime as needed. Production varies by line between 176 assemblies per shift to 544 assemblies per shift. Essential Tasks: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential task satisfactorily.  Set-up of various machines for production and inspection of parts  Operation of various machines for production of automotive filter parts.  Assembly of various parts into fixtures or machines  Visual inspection of parts.  Actuation of machine controls.  Operation of pallet jacks and other carts as needed.  Use of hand and power tools.  Grasping and manipulating small parts and full assemblies to load machines and fixtures  Data entry and writing.  Rotate to any producer position in the plant. Essential Physical Functions  Constant standing, grasping, walking, reaching below shoulder level  Frequent: o Lifting-up to 16.5lbs from 30” to 6-35” o Carry-up to 20lbs from 12-48” to 30-55”, up to 20 feet o Push/Pull up to 50lbs initiation force, a horizontal distance up to 20 feet o Bending, squatting, climbing (8”), and reaching above shoulder level. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.  12 months of related experience required LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be fluent in English. Able to read/write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and directors, and to present to groups of customers or employees of the organization. Values and considers the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to use a hand held calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES  Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.  Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.  Dynamic communication / inter-personal skills.  Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
