Product Categorization Coordinator

About the Role

As Product Categorization Coordinator, you'll lead the systems and processes that determine which health and wellness products qualify for HSA/FSA spending through Truemed. This role sits at the intersection of operations, clinical compliance, and product development, ensuring hundreds of thousands of SKUs are accurately categorized so customers can access preventative healthcare products with their pre-tax dollars.

You'll manage a team of contractors, partner closely with Clinical Operations and Product, and have real ownership over the speed and accuracy of our categorization pipeline.

What You'll Do

Drive Categorization Velocity & Accuracy

• Own the end-to-end product categorization process, with a target of categorizing new SKUs within 24 hours of ingestion

• Assist with QA of categorization work and lead retraining when accuracy issues emerge

• Generate quarterly performance reports and surface insights to leadership

Support Merchant Onboarding

• Conduct preliminary screening of new merchant requests and compile eligibility documentation

• Schedule and coordinate product evaluations for onboarding merchants, ensuring compliant eligibility determinations

• Provide "white glove" onboarding support for merchants, meeting directly with them to explain eligibility determinations and categorization expectations

Build Better Systems

• Partner with the Clinical Product Manager to develop and refine tooling that improves categorization efficiency without sacrificing accuracy

• Monitor provider feedback on product categories and recommend operational adjustments

• Support the marketing team with marketplace product management as needed

Contractor Oversight

• Manage a team of categorization contractors, providing direction, feedback, and quality oversight

The Team

You'll report to the Senior Operations Manager and work alongside the operations team. You'll collaborate regularly with Clinical Operations, Product, and the merchant onboarding team.
