Job Description - Product Content Manager

Description

 This role is open to Remote, Hybrid, or On-Site in Indianapolis, IN. Preference for Indianapolis, IN area candidates, as well as remote candidates in: IN, IL, OH, WV, WI, GA, AL, FL, LA, or TX 

 

The Industrial Service Group (ISG) is growing quickly through the acquisition of companies that are specialized in providing service and distribution of critical rotating equipment and parts directly to industrial customers. To propel our next stage of growth, ISG is embarking on a digital transformation to offer B2B eCommerce, building a multi-storefront, omnichannel offering.

The Product Content Manager is a leadership role, managing the development and updating of the product attributes needed to display rotating equipment and parts on eCommerce storefronts. The individual in this role will partner with eCommerce and cross-functional team from ISG’s brands to manage a wide range of tasks, including product data integrity, content changes/updates, data gap analysis and research of needed product data. 

The Product Content Manager reports to the eCommerce Manager and is part of ISG’s Corporate Marketing Dept, which includes Marketing, eCommerce and Product Content teams. This role requires a versatile professional with a well-rounded skillset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Role reports to eCommerce Manager and requires the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and outside agencies.
  • In partnership with the eCommerce team and ISG brands’ teams (product experts and sales), the build complete product content attributes for each product in the brand’s catalog to enhance findability through SEO and provide customers with the information they need to make a purchase with confidence. 
  • The objectives of the position are to build a product content team, develop best practice workflows for gathering new product data, and manage the day-to-day function and integrity of the Akeneo Product Information Management system (PIM).
  • Central to the position, manage the PIM as the single source of truth for all information about ISG’s products, such as but not limited to: OEM brand, product ID number, product description, specifications, attributes, images, weights, dimensions, list price, etc.
  • Experience working with a PIM and eCommerce platform are required. Experience working with Akeneo PIM is a plus.
  • Additionally, in partnership with ISG Marketing team, product content offers the source material needed for digital marketing and content development including SEO, SEM, email, and social media to increase site traffic and build loyalty.
  • Review data analytics and translate into KPI and metrics reports with analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead projects that advance the PIM’s database based on customer analytics and competitive analysis.

 

Compensation

This position is benefits eligible, full time, salary, exempt.

  • Target Salary for well qualified candidates: $100-120,000 annual
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) contribution and match program, PTO, short and long term disability.

Requirements

  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analysis, Data Sciences, Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Content Manager or a similar role. B2B product data management is a plus.
  • Motivated to build a team and lead the development of a new capability in partnership with eCommerce, Sales, Operations and IT.
  • Required proficiency in managing PIM, Microsoft Excel, and data migration and analysis. Experience working with Akeneo PIM a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with outside agencies for Data and eCommerce development.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting and tracking marketing and product data.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and data analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
