Your passion for engaging with innovative engineering drives progress in our industry, tackling the once unsolvable. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Collaboratively engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to quickly resolve customer issues and improve product quality in a dynamic fast-paced challenging environment.\n * Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.\n * Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.\n * Create clear and concise reports to present analysis and support technical recommendations.\n * Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.\n * Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.\n * Work in a lab and/or cleanroom lab.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience; or Master\u2019s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience; or 10+ years of semiconductor equipment; or equivalent experience\n * Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.\n * Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities. \n * Clear communication and presentation skills.\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.\n * Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.\n * Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.\n * Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.\n * Manual machining skills and/or operating a CNC Mill or Lathe.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n\nSalary\n\nCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $86,000.00 - $192,000.00.\n\nThe above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
