Product Engineer I - Geocoding Documentation

Overview

Bring your passion for creating engaging and approachable content to a dynamic and influential team at Esri. The Geocoding team is looking for an experienced, creative, and hard-working writer to create reference help documentation, blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials about geocoding in ArcGIS products. In this role as a product engineering writer, you will work closely with teams across Esri to communicate and demonstrate best practices about geocoding capabilities. We are looking for an individual who has a strong planning, problem-solving and analytical mindset. One who can translate complex ideas into clear and compelling messages within established deadlines is well-suited for this role.

Responsibilities

• Write reference help documentation in our content management system about geocoding


• Create blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials that provide guidance, best practices, and applied workflows for geocoding


• Collaborate with development, product marketing, product management, marketing, sales, and other teams to promote geocoding in ArcGIS

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working in similar role and environment


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills


• Passion for innovative data visualizations and storytelling


• Enthusiasm for creating demos and giving presentations


• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content


• Effective time management and organizational skills


• Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work


• Bachelor's in computer science, information systems, GIS, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience with GIS


• Familiarity with geosearch or geocoding applications and web APIs
