Position Overview:
The Product Integration Technician plays a key hands-on role in integrating security and surveillance technologies into Mobile Pro Systems’ mobile and fixed platforms. This position is ideal for individuals with field installation experience—such as security technicians working with cameras or access control—who are ready to bring their technical skills into a manufacturing and product development environment.
In this role, you’ll install, wire, and configure hardware devices such as cameras, strobes, sensors, and NVRs onto MPS platforms, preparing them for deployment in the field. You’ll work under the guidance of the Technical Integration Lead and collaborate with a team focused on delivering fully integrated, high-quality surveillance and security systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Hardware Integration & Assembly
· Install and wire third-party security devices (e.g., IP cameras, sensors, horns, lights) into MPS product enclosures
· Terminate cables, apply labels, route wiring, and assemble components according to build sheets and SOPs
· Assist in mechanical mounting and alignment of components for field-ready deployment
Device Setup & Basic Configuration
· Perform initial configuration of IP devices (e.g., camera IP address assignment, power setup, simple firmware updates)
· Assist in testing and verifying device connectivity within the platform
· Follow standardized configuration steps under supervision of the Integration Lead
Testing & Troubleshooting
· Conduct functional tests on integrated components prior to QA
· Identify simple wiring, configuration, or connection issues and correct them or escalate as needed
· Support troubleshooting documentation and learn from recurring issues to build skillset
Documentation & Communication
· Complete checklists and logs to track components and integration steps
· Communicate progress or blockers to the Integration Lead
· Follow safety and cleanliness standards in the integration work area
Required Qualifications:
· 1–2 years of experience in low-voltage system installation (e.g., security, access control, cameras)
· Familiarity with running/terminating Cat5/Cat6 cable, mounting equipment, and working from wiring diagrams
· Basic understanding of IP networking (device setup, PoE, subnet masks, etc.)
· Comfortable using hand and power tools and working in a workshop setting
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new systems
Preferred:
· Experience working for a security integrator or service provider
· Exposure to VMS platforms and IP camera systems from vendors
· Familiarity with AC/DC power, relays, or industrial enclosures is a plus

Made in the USA:
The base products in our systems are produced in the United States of America including our steel, generators, and many electronic components. We are proud of the products our 30+ American employees design and produce at a value/cost ratio which makes sense to our customers.
Some other mobile surveillance suppliers have chosen to source their base products from China or other overseas countries at the expense of U.S. based jobs. We also had that choice and decided this was not a direction we wanted to go.
Automation:
Only Mobile Pro products include fully automated systems which serve as effective on-site deterrents with automatic activity reporting. This includes all statuses of the system and its operation.
The MP Status and Control web-based application provides remote access to the status of the operating systems in addition to generating real-time event notifications and alerts. Remote guarding is far better than passive video systems that only record and provide evidence after the damage has been done. On-site police and security officers can't be everywhere, and they can't be watching all cameras at the same time. With the MP Status system, you can be notified of events as they occur and prevent crime before it happens.
