Key Responsibilities\n\n * Reporting into Obsolescence Management Group\n * Owns end-to-end obsolescence product change management (PCM) and control for select products / component families:\n * Includes partnering with supply chain teams to review material analysis, assessment of stock out date(s), last time buy opportunities, and end-of-life extension.\n * Driving supplier compliance for end-of-life notifications through Supplier Account Team\n * Partnering with Engineering Teams and suppliers to develop alternate solutions to meet customer timelines\n * Coordinating qual plans and internal quals (including tool time) for projects\n * Implementation of PCN (Part Change Notification)\n * Coordinating customer quals with copy exact engineering support\n * Manufacturing cut-in strategies (by Customer, Fab, Node)\n * ECO (Engineering Change Order) approval\n * Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.\n * Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, and timeliness for completion.\n * Manage strategic vendor issues\n * Cross-functional execution of programs to meet and exceed division goals\n * Coordinate product line or division portfolio prioritization and budget alignment\n * Responsible for business process creation and continuous improvement\n * Coordinate Division level business continuity planning and crisis management\n * May have direct report(s)\n\n\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\n * Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family and basic knowledge of other related job families\n\n\n\nBusiness Expertise\n\n * Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives\n\n\n\nLeadership\n\n * Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges\n\n\n\nProblem Solving\n\n * Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems \n\n\n\nImpact\n\n * Impacts the level of service and the team\u2019s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives\n * Guided by policies and resource requirements within business unit, department or sub-function\n\n\n\nInterpersonal Skills\n\n * Guides, influences and persuades others internally in related areas or externally\n\n\n\nPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
