Job Description - Product Line Manager III - (E3) - CMP
Within AGS, the Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Service Business Unit (SBU) focuses on enabling customer success through advanced service products tailored to CMP technologies. The CMP SBU is seeking a Product Line Manager (PLM) who is passionate about driving service business growth and strengthening AGS's value to customers. This role requires someone who can lead complex technical programs in a highly cross‑functional environment and guide the creation of innovative, high‑impact service offerings. Ideal candidates will bring a solid understanding of the semiconductor industry, preferably with direct experience in CMP, as well as familiarity with marketing practices and business processes. They should be able to analyze data, develop strategies to address multifaceted challenges, and influence business outcomes. Responsibilities include defining, managing, and scaling service programs using product lifecycle methodologies. The individual is expected to operate with minimal guidance and serve as a resource to less‑experienced team members. Service business growth Responsible for creation and maintenance of cost models and metrics during product life cycle to support pricing activities Key point of contact for commercial interaction with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Field Support organizations for new and existing business. Ability to quantify customer value by way of Economic Value Assessment (EVA) or similar approaches. Drive/influence Service Product Roadmap and continuous improvements to ensure high value delivery for services. Enable new service products Support the discovery of customer issues to help develop valuable service products. Support corporate strategic initiatives including annual Strategic Planning and Quarterly Product Reviews. Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred), additional business qualifications are plus. 4 - 7 year of experience Experience in semiconductor equipment and/or services, CMP preferred. Strong presentation and communication skills emphasizing ability to condense complicated topics into clear, concise message. Proven track record of successful completion of complex programs and/or product releases. Adept at leading functional teams in projects with high resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Comfortable with challenging and holding self and team members to be accountable. Ability to influence and capture mindshare of stakeholders to support task/project/program Well organized, especially when it comes to tracking commitments and communicating via Gantt charts, timelines, and other organizational tools. Works independently, with minimal guidance.
