Job Description - Product Manager, Snap Lab

Snap Lab is home to our hardware products with a world-class research & development team. We are focused on pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be, specifically overlaying computing on the real world.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Snap Lab team, you will drive roadmap and strategy for Spectacles, our augmented reality (AR) sunglasses that bring lenses to life! Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you’ll work with designers and engineers to define and build new generations of Spectacles that combine cutting edge camera technology and software.

What you’ll do:

Identify gaps and opportunities for the product and communicate those to leadership and their teams
Turn high level direction to actionable plans with well defined product milestones
Have an adaptable approach to problem solving that accounts for the variety of problems and challenges in a long product development cycle
Guide team priorities and provide focus to ensure optimal execution
Act as a steward of the product rather than gatekeeper with a focus on creating a highly collaborative environment that leads to a valuable product for their users
Act as an editor by being highly communicative and continuously refining a consistent and coherent narrative to drive the product purpose, scope, and priorities based on a deep understanding of user needs and strategic product choices

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Experience performing product-oriented quantitative analysis, including statistical analysis
Ability to initiate and lead cross-functional projects to completion with minimal guidance
Ability to communicate the results of analyses clearly and effectively
Ability to execute against defined objectives both tactically and strategically
A team player who can collaborate with engineers, designers, and other cross-functional teams
Experience seeding new products, including go to market strategy, community growth, or product marketing
Experience with AR/VR/XR products
Experience creating integrated hardware/software products or platform/ecosystem products

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
4+ years of product management and/or related industry experience at a consumer electronics or technology company

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience delivering on a private and secure end to end platform including cloud, mobile, and on device components
Experience shipping AI experiences and capabilities
Experience with location based AR experiences and capabilities

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $175,000-$250,000 annually.

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $166,000-$238,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $149,000-$213,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
