Product Photographer

At AMain Hobbies, we don’t just sell RC cars, drones, puzzles, and trading cards — we bring hobbies to life. Now we’re looking for a Product Photographer who can make our products shine and inspire customers with scroll-stopping visuals. If you’ve got an eye for detail, a knack for lighting, and a passion for creativity, this is your studio playground. 

This is an on-site role at our Charlotte, NC location.

Summary

The Photographer will be a key contributor to the success of all brand marketing and omnichannel communications projects. This role will report to the Product Content Manager and will be responsible for the successful creation and management of photography for all consumer touchpoints (digital and instore). This includes ideating, shooting, composing, and bringing to life various projects across omni shoots and brand campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities

· Layout and lighting of the products to be photographed

· Capture product and lifestyle photography for website and social media 

· Color correction of all images

· Identify relevant product details to be photographed

· Adhere to, maintain, and update photo style guides

· Adhere to the file naming convention, strictly follow the file management guidelines, and maintain a detailed record of all images produced

· Manage workflow to ensure the highest quantity and quality of images are produced

· Maintain a clean workstation

· Properly check products in and out of the warehouse

· Weigh and measure all products, and enter data into the database for accurate shipping calculations

· Monitor QC system to ensure timely entry of weights and dimensions of products

· Monitor QC system for comments regarding photos that need updating

· Other duties as required

Secondary Responsibilities

· Photograph damaged or incorrect items for use in claims with shippers and vendors.

· Take photographs at events as needed

· Work with marketing department on magazine and online advertising

· Maintain all studio equipment

Education/Experience Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 2-5 years experience in commercial photography preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

· Proven proficiency in digital photography

· Thorough understanding of digital cameras, including strobe lighting systems.

· Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required

· Oral and written skills sufficient to communicate at all levels of the organization

· Computer literate with a proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, Illustrator and Photoshop with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines

· Responsible, good attitude, dependable

· Good work ethic and good organizational skills

· Ability to follow instructions from supervisor

· Attention to detail

Physical Demands/Work Environment

· Must be able to stand, walk, and sit on a regular basis

· Must be able to use your hands frequently

· Must be able to reach with hands and arms frequently

· Must be able to climb or balance occasionally

· Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on an occasional basis

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, up to 40lbs regularly
