The Product Sales Manager (PSM) is responsible for managing the sales activities of ESAB's specialty alloys sold under the Stoody, Exaton and ESAB brands within the assigned territory. The PSM is accountable for maximizing sales growth by working independently with end-users and through focused support of distributor outside sales personnel. The PSM is expected to be the subject matter expert on these brands and product applications within the region.
Key Responsibilities Achieve sales quota for designated territory. Provide field support to Distributors on new and existing processes, product application, and demonstrations. Provide end-users with product and new process applications by demonstrating and professionally delivering a complete package. Improve relationships and sales within the ESAB Welding and Cutting distribution channel. Fully communicate sales and marketing activities. Project a positive, professional image as a company representative. Work within a team structure. Key Measurements
Overall territory sales growth New product sales and opportunity identification Competitive account conversion Training completion for distributor partners Support of the ESAB Account management team and joint business development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities B.S. degree in technical discipline or business administration. 3+ years proven industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience preferred, strong preference towards hard facing and similar alloys. Solid knowledge of welding consumables and hard facing. Capable of demonstrating welding skills in all process applications. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Basic proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications. Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.
