Hours: Full -time, 40 hours per week
Location: Beddy’s offices; 5491 Hammerfest Dr. #201, South Jordan, UT 84009.
Pay: Dependent upon experience
DESCRIPTION
The Product Specialist will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of product development—from concept to launch. This position works closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure all products meet Beddy’s standards of quality, functionality, and style. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and or coordinate all new product development activities.
Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and market demands.
Communicate directly with vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain and adhere to project timelines, deliverables, and implementation schedules.
Oversee all product data management, including maintaining the Product Master List, Shopify and NetSuite
Receive, evaluate, and approve product samples to ensure they meet specifications and quality expectations.
Review all tech packs for accuracy and completeness.
Capture and document all product planning details and ensure systems reflect accurate information.
Ensure readiness for all product launches, verifying product descriptions, pricing, weights, and costs.
Create IOQ requests for first-time orders and set up new products in company systems.
Assist with preparation and coordination of product photo shoots.
Collaborate with marketing team to develop product positioning, messaging, and promotional material verbiage
Support new product launches, including documentation, sales enablement, and customer communications.
Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations for customer service and marketing teams.
Support dual-sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and ensure consistent supply across product lines.
Request and review SGS tests, certifications, and compliance documents for each SKU prior to production.
Work with QA teams and suppliers to address defects or quality concerns, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
1–2 years of experience in consumer product development.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent Excel and data management skills.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project elements simultaneously.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A passion for creativity—and if you love cookies and shoes, that’s a plus!
