Job Description - Product Support Sales Manager - Room for Advancement

SUMMARY
Responsible for the leadership and direction efforts of the Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSR) in assigned regions to provide a smooth, efficient, and profitable process of activities engaged in selling parts and labor to achieve profitable growth. Reporting to the VP of Product Support and leading a team of ~16 this position is responsible for increasing construction division parts and service sales through effective leadership of the Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSRs). Strategically pursue future growth of parts and service sales, rebuilds, hydraulics, CVA’s, and Equipment Management. Manage the company’s Machine Autonomy solutions through parts, service, and sales opportunities within a go-to-market strategy.

DUTIES
  • Manage parts and service sales process through leadership, guiding, and directing Product Support Sales Representatives for the Construction Division throughout the sales quoting, execution, and relationship building processes.
  • Measure sales representatives through utilization of our CRM system to ensure we are capturing and recording sales activities timely including PAR completion.
  • Manage and adjust rep coverage to optimize territories using the OEM and dealer’s analysis tools.
  • Enhance parts and service sales through implementation of new growth opportunities including machine and component rebuilds, eCommerce, PSE’s, hydraulics, CVA’s, TM&R, welding, contract labor, and merchandising programs.
  • Design and deploy current go-to-market offerings that align with our Strategic Goals to increase Product Support sales, improve customer relations, and further increase the profitability of the Company.
  • Lead Doubling Services initiative through development and execution of PSE’s, OLGA lead generation, Big Rock targets and market segments to achieve metrics while increasing revenue dollars through annual growth projections.
  • Manage Merchandising Programs for key vendors to ensure maximum rebates are submitted and obtained.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage key account (mining) on-site service agreement.
  • Conduct customer facing site visits for sales support, adoption, and training opportunities.
  • Partner with General Service Manager and General Parts Manager to ensure alignment within key performance indicators and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement Equipment Management Initiatives to help customers reduce after failure repairs and better manage their equipment.
  • Develop and manage go-to-market sales offerings for Machine Autonomy including fully autonomous mining jobsite solutions.
  • Create and manage on-site deployment of autonomous solutions through our Machine Autonomy Specialist and other autonomy site service professionals including on-boarding specialists, application specialists, and autonomous technicians.
  • Attend construction industry conferences and contribute best practices within the territory with regards to market segmentation
  • Manage, process, and evaluate PSSR commissions while incentivizing profitable and sustainable growth.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or management.
  • 7+ years related experience and/or training in Parts, Service, Product Sales Support, and/or Outside Sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years prior industry experience with management, leadership, and sales experience.
  • Over 5 years work experience in a similar industry with service supervision/management.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history plus a dependable mode of vehicle transportation.
  • Must have intermediate PC knowledge, preferably in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must be able to travel (ground and air) routinely, both daily and overnight.

  • Strategic thinker with a keen sense of the strategies and tactics required to achieve results with novel programs and problem solving.
