Production Assembler-1st shift (Cover Pulling Station)

Seats Incorporated is currently seeking employees to perform the various assembly operations required to construct custom seating products used in various industries including commercial truck, off highway, and turf customers. 

While all Assembly positions involve hands‑on manufacturing work, this specific role is focused on our cover‑pulling stations, which are among the more physically demanding positions within the Assembly department.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of a cover puller is to take fully sewn seat covers and stretch, pull, and manipulate them to fit securely over seat backs and cushions. This requires consistent upper‑body strength, repetitive motion, and the ability to work with force and precision to achieve a high‑quality fit.

Essential Duties

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Perform repetitive pulling, stretching, and positioning of seat covers over foam cushions.


• Place parts in specified sequence using bolts, clips, screws, staples, and glues/cements.


• Use air and battery‑powered tools to complete assemblies according to work instructions.


• Rotate to different workstations as production needs require.


• Adapt to different assembly operations as seating models vary.


• Read and follow detailed work instructions.


• Navigate computer systems to look up work instructions, cross‑reference part numbers, check inventory, and reference production tables.

Physical Requirements

This role requires a higher level of physical effort than some other assembly positions. Candidates must be able to:

• Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.


• Perform repetitive pulling, pushing, gripping, and stretching motions throughout the shift.


• Stand for up to 10 hours per day.

**Seats Incorporated offers an hourly wage starting at $19.10 per hour with an opportunity for progressive increases starting after 2 months and every 6 months afterward based on performance to a maximum of $22.40 per hour.
