PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
JH Design Unlimited is a family-owned business located in St. Lucie West. This business was founded on art first and foremost, and has grown to produce work that shows off the art created. We are a graphic design, print, apparel, sign, and vehicle wrap shop. We do a little bit of everything and we’re seeking a versatile team member to assist with the graphic design and production of a multitude of things.
We want someone who is a team player, who will be ready to jump in and help in multiple areas of the business. It could be answering a phone, assisting a customer, load vinyl onto a printer, or even help glassing vinyl on a car. Here at JH Design Unlimited, everyone has a main job task but we help one another and in return produce the best work for our clients.
This is an IN-HOUSE position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have basic math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Be able to use PC & be computer literate.
- Be able to use light power equipment and tools (sheet cutters, saws, drills, etc.)
- Be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Be able to organize tasks and determine priorities.
- Be able to work independently and occasionally alone in the shop.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and follow directions according to customers’ orders.
- Work safely and maintain a safe work environment by keeping it clean and organized.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must be able to speak English fluently.
PREFERRED:
- Software: Corel Draw, InDesign, Versaworks, Microsoft Outlook, & QuickBooks Time (Online)
- Experience designing vehicle wraps & boat wraps.
- Experience doing large format lamination.
- Knowledge and experience with working with large format printers.
- Experience mounting vinyl on substrates.
- Experience working with and heat pressing apparel.
- Customer Service
