About the role

• Our Production Assistant supports the roasting team by performing a variety of tasks. These include preparing green coffee, packing bags and boxes, producing cold brew, and cleaning and organizing the Roastery workspace and lab. The ideal candidate will adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and production guidelines, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and showcasing a collaborative spirit.

What you'll do

· Production – Filling and preparing green coffee batches for roasting, weighing, and filling bags, applying labels, and packing orders.

· Inventory – Maintain logs for green coffee and blend percentages.

· Maintenance – Contribute to routine cleaning and maintenance of roasting and production equipment; establish a thorough working knowledge of all systems; maintain a tidy work area.

· Cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.

· Coachable: able to receive and implement feedback quickly

· Approachable: able to forge strong interpersonal connections with folks of all skill levels.

· Impactful: able to communicate and convey concepts in a way the individual will understand and respond with engagement.

Qualifications

· Specialty coffee experience required

· Reliable transportation

· Open availability during the work week.

· Good organizational skills, problem solving ability, and intuitive resourcefulness

· Strong initiative and self-management skills, willing to take direction

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time, ~8 hours each workday

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform repetitive, range-of-motion activities
