Production Associate - Rack Tech

The Production Associate – Rack Tech is responsible for proper product rack placement and relaying process information to the Line Operator while maintaining a safe and clean rack / un-racking area.

This position is the first step to building your career within the Metal Finishing industry!

This position is Monday - Friday and a minimum of 40 hours a week. Overtime is available to those that want it. You can expect to work between 40-50 hours a week with overtime. Pay range is $20/hr

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• No experience required, although prior experience in a similar position or position requiring multi-tasking in a fast pace environment is preferred
• Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions in written or oral form
• Ability to perform basic math such as: adding, subtracting, and dividing all units of measure
• Ability to read product manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass our standard background check and drug test
• Comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled facility

JOB DUTIES

• Maintains ongoing communications with Line Operator and Production Supervisor regarding any observed equipment or safety issues.
• Review and follow racking instructions, verify part count and “job traveler” specifics rack parts on appropriate rack, and complete and sign off on required documentation on each rack to accurately reflect process, materials and count to meet ISO requirements
• Blow-dry parts on rack after completion of its line process
• Unrack parts, verify the count, inspect all parts for quality issues, wrap and package parts to preserve the finish, and sign off on part count.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the racking/unracking area and participates in 5S initiatives.
• Understands and observes all safety rules and regulations.
