DUO Signage + Graphics is a growing large-format printing and signage company seeking a dependable, motivated Production Associate to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position available immediately.
This hands-on role supports both our production department and daily shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to grow within the signage and digitally printed graphics industry.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving
- Receive incoming materials, substrates, supplies, and completed products.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, damage, and proper quantities.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Label, organize, and store inventory in designated shop locations.
- Prepare finished signs, graphics, and related materials for shipment or installation.
- Package products carefully to prevent damage during transportation.
- Create and apply shipping labels and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, local deliveries, and installer pickups.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when materials or supplies need to be reordered.
- Keep shipping, receiving, and material-storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with local deliveries and material pickups when needed.
Production
- Assist with the operation and routine maintenance of digital printing and finishing equipment.
- Support large-format production, including cutting, trimming, mounting, laminating, and finishing printed graphics.
- Allocate materials carefully to maximize the use of media and substrates while minimizing waste.
- Review work orders and job specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform quality-control checks throughout production and before packaging or shipment.
- Assist with the production of signs, banners, vinyl graphics, displays, and other large-format products.
- Use hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain an efficient workflow and help keep production areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with production, project management, installation, and design teams to meet deadlines.
- Perform other production and warehouse duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is beneficial:
Sign production or large-format printing
Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations
- Digital router/cutting equipment
- Large format printers
ONYX RIP software
ShopVox
Cutting, mounting, trimming, and laminating graphics
Packaging oversized, fragile, or custom-manufactured products
Basic layout, file preparation, or prepress work
Qualifications
- At least one year of relevant production, signage, printing, warehouse, or shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Good basic math, measurement, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to read work orders, measurements, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with basic tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Dependable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stand, and move throughout the shop for extended periods.
- Ability to safely handle large sheets of material, packages, and finished signage.
- Ability to work in an active production and warehouse environment.
