General Overview:
Candidate will plan, schedules and optimizes flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning, from scheduling, requisitions, and deliveries to meet production requirements.
Packaging & Planning Specialist:
- Will plan, schedule and optimize flow of approved materials, components, and related materials through all phases of material planning, from scheduling, requisitions, and deliveries to meet production requirements
- Perform daily cycle counts to ensure desired on-hand inventory levels are maintained.
- Track expendable packing usage & charge back to the customer as needed
- Perform root cause annalist for packaging shortages.
- Design & quote Service packaging to our customers
Develop Packaging Concepts
- Develop a range of packaging concepts in coordination with the finalized products or materials, so that the packaging is compatible. Ensure that the manufacturing specifications are compliant with customer regulations.
- Review Design Efficiency
- Provide Technical Support
Desired Experience / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University, or at least four years related experience and/or training in packaging; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic understanding of the automotive assembly process
- High skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to organize multiple people to a common goal
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
