About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and driven Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of our equipment. This role goes beyond traditional design work - applying advanced engineering principles and problem-solving to create optimized, functional, and cost-effective solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with design, fabrication, and cross-functional teams to ensure our equipment is manufacturable, meets quality standards, and aligns with customer needs. This is a hands-on role with real impact from concept through production.
Job Description:
Lead the design and development of our equipment, including analyzing customer needs and conducting feasibility studies
Apply advanced engineering principles to develop and validate designs that meet performance, safety, and quality standards
Partner with designers to create 2D and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Perform structural, thermal, and mechanical analysis to optimize performance and reduce costs
Ensure successful system integration across equipment components
Collaborate with fabrication and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and cost-effective
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during production and installation
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, BOMs, and test reports
Manage design revisions and communicate updates effectively to stakeholders
Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in equipment design and food processing
Support continuous improvement efforts by enhancing equipment functionality, reliability, and efficiency
Work directly with customers to develop solutions that meet their requirements and facility layouts
Job Requirements:
Experience with engineering design tools such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment design, and manufacturing processes
Advanced knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA, and tooling limitations
Hands-on experience with HVAC and Refrigeration system design, operation, or integration
Experience performing structural, thermal, and mechanical analysis
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including design, fabrication, project management, and customers
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of engineering design experience, preferably in manufacturing or food processing
Experience with automation systems and advanced manufacturing processes is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of system integration, material selection, and performance testing
