Job Summary:
Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Lead. The Production Lead position involves leading one or more teams in the execution of the production/manufacturing processes. The primary responsibility of the Production Lead is to ensure the assigned work is completed in a timely manner; this includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to associates; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training and assisting associates. The production Lead will work with the management to improve processes in the production/manufacturing areas.
Job Duties:
Work with management to schedule work for the most effective use of the personnel and equipment
Expedite hot orders in a manner to maintain the production schedule
Lead a team of identified employees
Installs wire ways, conduits and cable trays, and ground electrical equipment to adhere to customer specification and/or NEC code
Assemble and install electrical components such as sub-panels, according to engineered drawings
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and communication with employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Act and resolve problems adversely affecting schedule
Reads, interprets, and follows pass-downs, work orders, blueprints, and work instructions
Work towards continuous improvement in the production/manufacturing shop
Help improve department processes to maximize efficiencies and quality
Promotes Panelmatic’s Rules and Safety Practices
Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
Limits and controls use of shop consumables
Participates in training, safety, quality programs, and continuous improvement efforts
Minimum Qualifications:
Four or more years of experience in an electrical manufacturing shop environment required
Four or more years of experience in workplace safety or HSE required
Four-plus years of experience in forklift operation required
Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
US work authorization without sponsorship required
Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
Ability to stoop and bend required
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
Preferred Qualifications:
AA or higher in Operations Management or other related degree preferred
Ability to read industrial-specific drawings and specifications preferred
Four or more years of experience in ISO 9001-certified environment preferred
