Production Lead-IN

Purpose:

The Production Lead is responsible for maintaining manufacturing operations and monitoring  the production process of a particular set of products.

 Essential Job Functions:

1.     Effectively runs production machinery during assigned shift.


2.     Monitors the production process.


3.     Inspects products at the machine for quality discrepencies.


4.     Ensure that end products meet quality and quantity standards of the company.


5.     Understands all training practices and how to consistently teach others in the department.


6.     Ensures that all safety guidelines are being followed.


7. 7.    Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean orderly department.


8. 8.    Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed.


9. 9.    Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the general public.


10. 10.  Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

Required Qualifications:

            Education, Training and/or Experience:

1.    High school diploma or GED.

2.    A minimum of 2-5 years of production experience in an increasingly expanded role.

             Knowledge, Skills and abilities:

1.    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the use of the internet.

2.    Ability to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.

3.    Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.

4.    Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

5.    Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.

6.    Self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.

7.    Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.

8.    Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.

9.    Ability to work alongside other employees within all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tow Motor Certification

Physical Demands:

Nature of work requires an ability to operate in a standard warehousing environment.  Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.  Ability to occasionally lift up to 50-70 lbs. independently. May require extended overtime hours is/when business requires the demand.

Working Conditions

Work performed in a manufacturing and general office environment.
