Job Description- Mixing Room

The Mixing room day-to-day tasks may include measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery, operating production line equipment, assembling goods on a production line and packaging finished products. This person is also responsible for being part of a team that works efficiently and effectively to meet production 
goals. Reports to the Production Supervisor. 

Summary:
The Mixing Room Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation and processing of raw materials in support of production goals. This includes measuring, grading, and feeding batches of materials into production machinery, operating production equipment, assembling products on the production line, and packaging finished goods. The role requires close attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure and grade batches of raw materials according to production specifications


• Load raw materials into production equipment in a timely and safe manner


• Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures


• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality


• Assist in assembling goods on the production line as required


• Package finished products for shipment or storage


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mixing and production area


• Follow safety guidelines and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns


• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred


• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required

• Specific Job Requirements:


• Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push, balance and lift objects 
  up to 50 pounds


• Must have the ability to stand, walk and move about for extended periods of time


• Work in cold manufacturing environment, including, coolers in temperatures as low as 
  35-38, and -20 degrees Fahrenheit


• Required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues

Additional Needs:Able to work some overtime as needed

Must have proof to be legally eligible to work in the United States, with 2 (acceptable forms of ID for approved I-9.
