Burial Beer Co is looking for a skilled and reliable Production Maintenance Manager to join our production management team. You will support the equipment and facilities involved in our production operations and ensure your coworkers have a safe and well-functioning production environment.

The Job
With a general understanding of the beverage production process and the maintenance and repair associated with beverage production equipment, the Production Maintenance Manager will utilize electro mechanical controls, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical knowledge to keep our production processes and coworkers functioning reliably, safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Serve on Burial’s production management team to help lead the safe, reliable, and efficient meeting of demand for Burial beverages.
- Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of company assets.
- Utilize and teach a work order system that allows staff to easily submit requests and to keep staff and teams updated on solutions to their submissions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate a wide range of tools and equipment and ensure they are maintained in safe working condition at all times
- Setup and maintain a shop on-site at Burial in locations as are provided by leadership
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders in order to perform required maintenance and service when applicable
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance during normal work hours and outside normal work hours, where necessary
- Organize and coordinate a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program utilizing a CMMS system or other online methods.
- Compile and manage the overall repair and maintenance budget
- Hire and manage contractors and equipment vendors for specialized maintenance work, negotiating and establishing contracts as needed
- Assist the facilities maintenance manager with facility maintenance projects as needed.
- Perform packaging or logistics tasks when temporary staff supplementation is needed to meet demand for Burial products
- Help inform and and assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures
- Employ use of project management tools and best practices for installations and improvements
- Provide training to Production teams on ways to improve the life of the assets they use, and to utilize self-help to repair
- Model a focus on analytical troubleshooting and the applying of lessons learned
- Report to CFO and CSO on maintenance service levels, challenges, and investments needed
- Complete equipment maintenance training, in accordance with business needs and as suggested by manufacturers or contractors
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For

- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably beverage manufacturing
- 21+ years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Has a safety forward mindset for environmental and coworker safety
- A self starter who can pivot quickly as priorities change and can see a project from beginning to end.
- Possess a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in our facilities.
- Comfortable with electrical up to 480v with safety in mind
- Controls experience with a variety of packaging and brewing machinery. VFD programing, PLC and HMI experience, knowledge of basic functions in a machines control cabinet.
- Experience with boiler and glycol chilling systems.
- Experience with installing new equipment and infrastructure in a production environment.
- Air compressor service knowledge
- Forklift and other heavy machinery experience.
- Welding experience is a plus, especially sanitary welding.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Repeatedly stand, bend, twist and move for full shift

- Compensation: Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Employment Type: Full time, hourly
- Job Schedule: generally M-F 8am-4pm, on call availability, ability to work weekends or nights as needed
