Production Manager

Truckstar is looking for a Production Manager.  This person will coordinate all repair work through every department in the shop.  You are responsible for assigning work to the appropriate department and technician while making sure all repairs are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. 

Tasks Include: (but are not limited to)

Scheduling

• Coordinating work based on estimates, capacities and jobs already scheduled and in process


• Understand the shop and employee capacities in relation to scheduling


• Review and understand computer based job schedule


• Communicate with estimators of any and all scheduling changes of conflicts


• Prioritize jobs and reassign priorities due to any and all changes

Managing Job Performance

• Assign technicians to jobs based on schedule and employee capabilities


• Review work orders to familiarize with repairs to be completed


• Advise technicians on repair/paint techniques and coordination of work through departments


• Assist technicians in problem solving


• Conduct daily morning shop meetings to coordinate jobs and technicians for the day

Quality Control

• Coordinate with technicians on completing QC inspections between departments


• Coordinate with technicians on completing final inspections upon completion of jobs


• Advise technicians on level of quality to achieve individual customer jobs


• Communicate quality issues to techs to correct the issues. 

 Miscellaneous

• Operate and move customer and shop vehicles/equipment


• Pick up parts or supplies, as needed


• Maintain clean and safe working conditions


• Stay current with technical updates and trade related trends


• Perform monthly safety meetings
