Job Description - Production Manager, Global Creative - Consumer Products

The team is responsible for overseeing the business and creative execution across merchandise creation, product development, licensee relationships, publishing, marketing, as well as a global division focused on live experiences.\n\nWe\u2019re looking for a Production Manager to manage day-to-day production across the Global Creative team, while helping define and scale how production works, supporting the development of style guides, character art, and asset systems for Netflix Consumer Products. This is not a traditional production role. There is no fixed playbook. This role sits within Global Creative \u2014 working directly alongside designers and creative leads to bring work to life with high-level craft and consistency. You will be responsible for ensuring creative work is delivered at the highest quality \u2014 production-ready, technically sound, and built to scale across global use cases.\n\nThis role is embedded within Global Creative and is central to how our work comes to life.It requires someone who can balance creative partnership with production rigor \u2014 ensuring the work not only looks great, but works seamlessly across every application. This role is responsible for helping define and evolve the production system \u2014 not just operating within it.\n\n## What You\u2019ll Do\n\n * Own production across style guides, character art libraries, and asset packs\n\n * Ensure work is delivered on time, on brief, and at a consistently high level of quality\n\n * Partner closely with designers and creative leads from early development through final delivery\n\n * Ensure all assets are cohesive, complete, and built for global application\n\n * Manage production of character art, pose libraries, and supporting assets\n\n * Ensure files are clean, organized, and flexible across categories (apparel, packaging, publishing, etc.)\n\n * Own file prep, QC, and final delivery across print and digital formats\n\n * Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges (color, format, resolution, repro, etc.)\n\n * Oversee how assets are packaged and delivered to partners\n\n * Ensure files are structured clearly, versioned appropriately, and easy to access across global teams\n\n * Work closely with Creative, Product Development, Operations, and Legal\n\n * Ensure assets meet both creative intent and technical requirements\n\n * Set and enforce production standards across teams\n\n * Flag issues early and hold teams accountable to delivering production-ready work\n\n * Define and evolve workflows, production standards, and best practices\n\n * Identify gaps and implement scalable solutions\n\n * Continuously improve how the team works \u2014 increasing speed, clarity, and output quality\n\n\n\n\n## What we need from you:\n\n * 7+ years in production design within entertainment, consumer products, or licensing\n\n * Strong experience supporting style guides, character art, or brand systems\n\n * Deep knowledge of file prep, QC, and production workflows across print and digital\n\n * Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)\n\n * Strong understanding of color management, repro, file setup, and global production standards\n\n * Experience working across product categories, with an understanding of print methods and limitations\n\n * Ability to design workflows \u2014 not just execute within them\n\n * Experience building or improving production systems and processes\n\n * Comfortable identifying gaps and solving for them independently\n\n * Self-directed and proactive; moves work forward without waiting for perfect direction\n\n * Comfortable operating in ambiguity and defining structure where none exists\n\n * Takes accountability for outcomes, not just tasks\n\n * Works seamlessly with designers and creative leads\n\n * Clear communicator who can align teams and provide actionable feedback\n\n * Experience managing external partners and vendors\n\n * Curious, solutions-oriented, and highly detail-driven\n\n * Motivated to build and improve \u2014 not just maintain\n\n * Passion for storytelling and delivering high-quality creative at scale\n\n\n\n\nGenerally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $220,000.00 - $352,000.00.\n\nNetflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
