Our client is seeking a Production Manager for one of our valued clients in Middle River, MD. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee maintenance operations, optimize scheduling, and ensure efficiency in a high-performance aviation environment.
About the Role
As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance technicians, ensuring work order accuracy, and maintaining compliance with operational and financial procedures. Your leadership will be key in driving productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Lead Maintenance Technicians and Technicians in their daily tasks
Maintain oversight of all maintenance projects and anticipate challenges impacting schedules
Track labor hours, technician utilization, and overall workflow efficiency
Review shop orders and work orders to ensure accuracy in labor hours, required parts, and billing compliance with contracts
Liaise with HR regarding personnel matters and provide onsite support when needed
Approve purchase orders, match them to invoices, and authorize payments
Ensure third-party work is appropriately applied to shop and work orders
Maintain a strong understanding of maintenance contracts and programs
Analyze in-process work orders to assess financial exposure
Coordinate with customer representatives and Aviation Managers for approvals on completed work
Oversee follow-up questions from customers and resolve invoicing discrepancies
Compile data for weekly efficiency reports
Supervise Maintenance Administrators and assign work functions accordingly
Act as an RII Inspector when needed
Monitor work progress and completion rates while flagging potential delays
Assist technicians with technical inquiries
Provide daily status updates to the Director of Maintenance
Support the Supply Chain Manager in ensuring correct parts are ordered
Address safety, regulatory compliance, or company policy concerns with the Director of Maintenance
Utilize Corridor software for tracking and reporting
Maintain strong collaboration across Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Finance departments
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate with recent experience per FAR §65.83
Associate degree in Aviation, Business, or a related field
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of related experience
Experience in a Part 145 or Part 135 Aircraft Maintenance environment
Extensive Bombardier Challenger 300 experience in an MRO or Service Center production setting
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $115,000/year, with additional discretionary annual incentives based on performance.
