Production Materials Planner - Generous Compensation

The Production Materials Planner plays a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing production activities within a manufacturing or production environment. This role supports daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition, and fulfills material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. The individual in this role must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are managed cost-effectively.
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for optimal production by avoiding down-time.
• Coordinating with internal departments regarding production goals, timelines, customer deliveries, and supplier commitments.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns along with market trends.
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
• Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.

• Utilizes ERP/MRP systems to coordinate materials from purchasing, processing, warehousing, and production.
• Updates orders to account for remaining inventory or changes in production schedules.
• Documents material details, including all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders.
• Monitors operations, troubleshoots operational roadblocks, and expedites material availability.
• Tracks and analyzes inventory levels and develops reports, dashboards, and other resources to facilitate material management processes.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks or potential delays, and take corrective actions to keep production on track.
• Ensure that the production schedules align with company goals and customer requirements.
• Monitor and manage the availability of resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to meet production demands efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, material usage, and other relevant data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems (ERP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
