Position Overview:

As a member of our esteemed team, you will be responsible for planning 60 days and beyond from completion of production, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Job Summary:

As a Production Operations Forward Planner at PRL, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. You will work closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and quality, to develop and implement production schedules. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate potential issues will be critical in ensuring that production targets are met.

Job Responsibilities:

- Long-Term Production Planning: Develop and maintain long-term production plans 60 days and beyond, considering factors such as resource availability, production capacity, and customer requirements.

- Capacity Planning: Monitor production progress and identify any issues that may impact schedule adherence. Coordinate with production and engineering to assess capacity constraints and develop strategies to optimize resource utilization over the long term.

- Collaboration: Collaborate and coordinate with the sales team to understand customer demand and incorporate it into production plans.

- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and forecast future inventory needs to ensure that materials are available when needed for production.

- Strategic Sourcing: Work with procurement teams to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and ensure that the supply chain is optimized for long-term production needs.

- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in long-term production planning and forecasting.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.

- Previous experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production planning software.

General:

Extensive mobility required, some lifting. Position requires ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walk and stand for long durations; see objects closely and distinguish between contrasting colors; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
