Job Description - Production Operator, 2nd shift (7:30pm-6:30am Mon-Thurs) Tonganoxie, KS

\nProduction Operator, 2nd shift\n\nTonganoxie, KS\n\nMonday - Thursday, 7:30pm \u2013 6:30pm\n\nAs a Production Operator at our Brand New (Premix) Animal Nutrition and Health location in Tonganoxie, KS, you will handle all production activities and operate production equipment in accordance with the plant capacity and in conformity with Safety, Health \u0026 Environment (SHE) requirements, SOP\u2019s, Quality standards and time sequences. Performs all duties associated with the production of custom vitamin premixes. Receives, unloads, stores, delivers and ships raw and finished materials.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience within premix, nutritional or pharmaceutical environment and forklift skills. If you also have a strong computer background and can learn earn automation/plant level machinery that is a plus! \n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Handle raw materials, transport from storage to intake stations, load raw materials as required into the process equipment utilizing different intake stations. Monitor and trouble shoot packaging systems. Additionally, Production Operator employees may be required to print labels, fill silos, complete final packaging, and sample per batch requirement, inspect both raw materials and finished goods as well as safely palletize and store raw materials and/or finished goods.\n * Able to work unsupervised at intake stations, utilize forklifts for materials transport and monitor packaging systems.\n * Monitor equipment and production process parameters, record process conditions and actions.\n * Report disturbances to the Lead Operator or Shift Manager and inform him/her about production process adjustments/concerns.\n * Take raw material and finished good samples and analyze these; decide on operational action to be taken.\n * Perform minor maintenance tasks and provide support with larger maintenance work when requested, on equipment as necessary to ensure continuous efficient operation of process.\n\n\n\nWe bring\n\n * Paid holidays, 18 days PTO + 2 floating holidays\n * Full healthcare benefits day one - medical, dental, eye and life insurance\n * 401K with generous company match\n * A rich history and a promising future of bold scientific innovation and passionate creation with our customers;\n * A space to grow by encouraging and supporting curiosity and an open mindset;\n * A culture that prioritizes safety and well-being, both physically and mentally;\n * The opportunity to work for a company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose;\n * A flexible work environment that empowers people to take accountability for their work and own the outcome;\n * Barrier-free communities within our organization where every employee is equally valued and respected \u2013 regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity.\n * Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as production demand requires including call-ins.\n\n\n\nYou bring\n\n * High school diploma or equivalent required.\n * 6+ months\u2019 production experience preferred, preferably in Premix, Nutritional supplements manufacturing or GMP related industry.\n * Ability to operate computers. Proficient in the use of MSOffice, Word, and Excel. Ability to use a Touch Screen.\n * Forklift experience preferred, Sit down, or Stand up. Also use Electric Pallet Jack.\n * Lift 50+ lbs. repetitively. Move bags and containers.\n * Knowledge of, adherence to and enforcement of dsm-firmenich Corporate policies addressing Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements. \n\n\n\nThe salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant\u2019s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.\n\nHourly $23.00 USD.\n\nIn addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
