Job Summary:
Operate medical assembly equipment to produce finished medical assembled products according to defined processes following quality and safety standards.
Shift: 3rd shift, Monday - Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform initial set-up for machine operation
- Operate equipment and machinery to produce components including multi-tasking on more than one machine at a time; may perform assembly of components; transport product/parts to and from different areas
- Interpret work orders including, written, oral and Kanban cards; keep track of production counts
- Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation
- Inspect final components against specifications looking for small defects to ensure quality
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment including clean-up of work area throughout and at end of shift
- Support other operators as needed and may conduct on-the-job training of other operators
- Weigh, pack and ticket produced parts for distribution to shipping, quality or other areas
- Maintain records and conduct inventory as necessary
- Rotate among operations and generally work overtime as required
- Inform Supervisor of parts or equipment problems
- Operate in a LEAN manufacturing environment and strive to suggest process improvements

Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude a plus

- Frequent: This position requires balance, bend/stoop, climb stairs, crawl, crouch, kneel, keyboard/type, push, pull, reach, reach above shoulder, repetitive motion as well as computer/mouse use.
- Constant: Ability to wear personal protective equipment that may include some or all: safety glasses, lab coat, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, hair/beard covering. No make-up or nail polish permitted.

The physical environment is indoors in a controlled climate, manufacturing setting. The noise level may be moderate to loud. Constant use of protective clothing is required to maintain clean environment.
