Production Operator Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Production Operator to join a manufacturing team responsible for producing quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. This role operates in a team-based production environment under the guidance of the Business Unit Manager and Production Supervisor. The position involves operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment to ensure efficiency and quality output
• Monitor assigned machinery and ensure products meet quality standards
• Complete daily production records accurately for assigned work areas
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), TQM practices, and plant-specific guidelines
• Comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (including ISO 14001 and TS 16949 practices)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment (5S/housekeeping standards)
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support cost reduction and process improvement efforts
• Maintain reliable attendance and adherence to shift schedules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or production experience (preferred)
• Forklift operation experience (required)
• Experience operating and maintaining production equipment
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic computer skills for production reporting
• Experience with production documentation and recordkeeping
• Understanding of measurement tools and the ability to record accurate data

Physical Requirements

• Standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods
• Use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and handling materials
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
