Role Summary
Fenner Dunlop is seeking a Production Operator to join our team at our Port Clinton, Ohio facility. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role of operator or part of a belt making crew; perform machine adjustments and coordinate with crew for optimum production and quality; miscellaneous manual belt making operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform the duties of each position assigned; operate overhead cranes, hoists, lift truck vehicles and a variety of power and hand tools. Maintain clean and safe working area and equipment. Perform other departmental duties as assigned by supervision.
Responsible for properly utilizing all equipment in the performance of each respective position they are working; maintaining proper production records; following established safety procedures and working in a safe manner to insure their own and others well-being; and reporting production problems to supervision.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required.
One (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accurate documentation.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Strong machine operation, decision making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with applicable computer programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical and Work Requirements
Ability to routinely perform activities requiring manual dexterity, including grasping, handling, and manipulating materials and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, gases, noise, vibration, and varying atmospheric conditions may occur.
Ability to follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to maintain visual acuity, including color, depth, and field of vision, as necessary to perform job related activities.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and perform other movements necessary to complete manufacturing-related tasks.
Regular and consistent attendance is required.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.

New Hire pay rate of $26.86/hr. - $29.56/hr.
